When I started acting I was pretty desperate for almost any job. I would stand around and be an extra for a scene and they might pay me a hundred dollars for the entire day. Its a nice amount of money for just standing there but its not like you get those jobs every single day. I had to make that money last for a while and that’s hard to do. When I started doing voice overs for commercials and cartoons was when I finally made enough money to pay my rent. One thing that’s really nice about that kind of work is you’re inside in an air conditioned building while you’re reading your lines. It really beats standing outside all day waiting for the director to be ready to film. I’ll never forget those first jobs I landed when I moved out here because they really helped me feel like I was going to make it.
